GEOFFREY WOOD is Professor in HRM, in the School of Management at the University of Sheffield, UK, and Overseas Associate of the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. His current research interests centre on the systematic testing and development of contemporary institutional theory in the light of large-scale survey evidence, and the practice of industrial relations in emerging markets.
CHRIS BREWSTER is Professor of International Human Resource Management at Henley Management College in the UK. He had substantial experience in trade unions, Government, specialist journals, personnel management in construction and air transport, and consultancy, before becoming an academic twenty years ago. He has conducted extensive research in the field of international and comparative HRM; and published over twenty books and more than a hundred articles.
