商品簡介
A result of the Priority Medical Devices project initiated in 2007 by the Dutch Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport and the World Health Organization, this report describes a health-based approach to medical devices. It identifies the most important health problems, how these global high-burden problems are best managed, and key medical devices needed for their management, then suggests an agenda to improve access to appropriate devices by applying the components of availability, accessibility, appropriateness, and affordability to 15 high-burden diseases and issues, such as HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, cataracts, hearing loss, alcohol use disorders, cancer, Alzheimer's, and diabetes.
