Brigitte Marechal, Ph.D (2006) in Sociology, Catholic University of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL, Belgium), and graduated in Political Science and Islamology. She is a member of the Centre Interdisciplinaire d'Etudes de l'Islam dans le Monde Contemporain (Cismoc), she has published extensively on European Islam.
