生命科學論文寫作指南（簡體書）

《生命科學論文寫作指南》是作者二十多年來在中國內地、香港和臺灣做生物醫學寫作方面的演講和研討會的經驗總結。全書分為簡介、入門、撰寫初稿、編輯初稿、常見錯誤、道德與剽竊等幾部分，它是專門為那些以漢語為母語，英文寫作比較困難的年輕生命科學領域工作者而編寫的。全書結構清晰、語言生動，簡明實用。

白青云，Bruce.I.，浙江大學醫學院教授，北京大學分子醫學研究所訪問教授，曾經在國際重要學術期刊擔任編輯、現為我國最有影響力的神經科學類期刊Neuroscience Bulletin執行副主編。

After a lecture on biomedical writing, a student asked me whether it is better to write with pen and paper or keyboard and screen. Surprised by the question, I tried to think quickly and responded weakly along the lines of preferring pen and paper myself, having learned to write before the invention of word-processors, but that young people like herself might feel more comfortable with keyboard and screen. After thinking about this, I now suggest that using pen and paper is preferable for creative writing, as in the case of a first draft, while keyboard and screen are better for editing and subsequent drafts. In fact, right now I am writing with pen and paper-later I will type this into the document file, probably adding, modifying and deleting material while doing so.
My rationale for preferring pen and paper for the first draft is based on minimizing distractions. We still learn to write with a pen or pencil before learning to use a keyboard. Since using a pen is learned early, this skill is deeply over-learned and requires relatively little brain space, so using a pen is semi-automatic.
