Mark Canada is a Professor of English and Associate Dean of Arts and Sciences at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. A former newspaper journalist, he has published essays on the press in the works of Theodore Dreiser and Thomas Wolfe, as well as articles on psychology in the works of Edgar Allan Poe.
