商品簡介
Laughton's 1925 text is a substantial history of the carving on mainly English ships. The carving of the beakhead, bulkhead, tack fairleads, anchor gear, the stern, galleries, quarter galleries, and broadside from wales, rails pavesades, bulwarks and hancing to its lights and anchor linings are all considered, with attention to type of wood employed. The text concludes with a set of b&w and some color plates; many of the photos are of models of the original vessels. Annotation c. Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
