Corpus-Based Translation Studies

The Continuum Advances in Translation series publishes advanced research in a field that is seeing multidisciplinary input and significant international growth in recent decades. This volume presents 12 contributions examining core concepts and tools of corpus-based translation studies, methods for the qualitative analysis of contrastive patterns in large corpora, and studies in specific sub=-fields. More specifically, topics include web-based corpus software, lexical priming and translation, a cross-linguistic analysis of semantic prosodies in comparable reference corpora, the impact of corpora on terminographic practice, the use of foreign words in translations, and a corpus-based analysis of disfluencies in simultaneous interpreting.
