Their most obvious change was to divide the book into two sections. The first lists laboratory tests alphabetically, and the second is devoted to disease states. The book offers no references to pathophysiology or therapy, but addresses common pitfalls and limitations of testing and identifying appropriate tests for specific clinical presentations.
