Reddy (psychology, Rutgers U.) provides mental health practitioners, teachers, nurses, and others in schools with play therapy group strategies for helping children ages five through 12 learn social skills such as making friends, asking for and offering help, controlling movements, and using appropriate words. Introductory chapters address the research basis, how to include children with special needs, creating and establishing groups, instructional and behavioral management strategies, and the caregiver's role.
