商品簡介
Huber (social work, U. of Louisville) et al. provide a conceptual framework for understanding when and how to use different advocacy strategies and methods for practitioners, students, and others working with elders in the US. Understanding different situations, solving problems, and selecting effective strategies are the key aims. They draw from their own experiences and what they have learned in their work with elders to describe how to understand contexts (such as familial and financial), services, theoretical perspectives, and relationships between the elderly and advocates. They then discuss assessment, analyzing situations, and interventions, followed by advocacy on the individual and macro levels. Both name and subject indexes are included.
