This volume presents the results of excavations carried out between 1971 and 1983 on the site of a medieval dam and pond at the southern end of the deserted English village of Wharram Percy, North Yorkshire. The excavations provided valuable insights into everyday life in the medieval village and also revealed environmental evidence relating to the land-use history of the valley and plateau.
