商品簡介
A retrospective of installations, sculptures, prints, drawings, and watercolors by German artist Schutte from the 1970s to the present is illustrated in sections on models, monuments, and memorials. The volume accompanies an exhibition at the Centro Reina Sofia, Madrid, where Cooke is chief curator; she offers an essay here called Turning the Tables. Other essays cover his early modest abstractions, by Christine Mehring (art history, U. of Chicago), and reclining sculpture by Penelope Curtin (director at Tate Britain but until recently curator at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds). The exhibition closes in May 2010. Annotation c2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
