商品簡介
Influential German theologian Rad (1901-71) was professor of Old Testament at the University of Heidelberg. In this short treatise, he draws on and refers to his larger and deeper accounts of the Old Testament to place the figure of Moses into the context of Judaism and Christianity. The German edition was published in 1940, and Neill's English translation in 1960. Hanson has smoothed out the English phrases, updated biblical passages from the Revised Standard to the New Revised Standard Version, added footnotes, and enlarged and updated references and bibliography. Walter Breuggemann (Columbia Theological Seminary) contributes a new foreword. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co. Annotation c2012 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
