Research Strategies for a Digital Age

This fourth edition of a research handbook for students contains a new chapter on plagiarism, expanded info on advanced search capabilities of databases, and tips for using Google Scholar. An expanded discussion of how to distinguish different types of digital sources and how to locate publication info is illustrated with helpful b&w screenshots. Students will appreciate the book's clean b&w layout with margin icons, tabbed sections, and plastic spiral binding. The first half of the book provides guidelines on beginning and sustaining a research project, using the web for research, and evaluating and using sources. The second half of the book contains separate sections devoted to the MLA, APA, CSE, and CMS formats, offering clear examples and writing tips. Each section includes at least one annotated sample paper and the MLA section contains two: research and literary analysis.
