商品簡介
Moore (musicology, U. of Surrey) explains to lay readers and beginning students how to analyze the music they listen to in order to understand how it has the impact on them that it does. He covers methodology, shape, form, delivery, style, friction, persona, reference, belonging, syntheses, and specific questions to ask about a song being analyzed. It is the recording that is being analyzed, rather than the song in any abstract way, and in some cases he contrasts different recordings of the same song to illustrate features.
