商品簡介
Varakemaa (systematic theology, U. of Helsinki, Finland) reconstructs the theory of individual rights set forth by Summenhart (1465-1502) in his massive Septipertitum opus de contractibus pro foro conscientie atque theologico. In particular, he asks how the German theologian understood the concept of an individual right and its immediate implication. He is not concerned with finding precursors for modern concepts or terminology, but with placing the argument within its historical and philosophical context. After a review of contemporary thinking, he covers the right of the individual, the species of dominion, and property rights. Only names are indexed.
