商品簡介
Sixty-one international academics and researchers contribute 28 chapters to a study documenting the increasing involvement of women in leadership and management roles in family businesses. Focusing in particular on cross-cultural gender issues in family firm ownership and succession, the authors explore the influence of culture--ethnic, regional, religious--on the process of father-daughter succession in family firms in 25 countries around the world. The chapters are organized by geographic region--Asia, Africa, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. Each chapter contains general discussion of business and cultural practices for the country followed by one-to-two illustrative case studies. The country-specific chapters are prefaced by introductory materials explaining the background to the study and the evolution of women's roles in family business, and followed by a concluding discussion of future research considerations.
