This resource provides detailed annotated entries on new reference books, chosen especially for small college libraries, K-12 school libraries, and small to medium public libraries. The entries, written by subject specialist librarians, comment on the strengths and limitations of each reference book, encompassing dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes, bibliographies, guides, atlases, gazetteers, and other sources. The entries are organized into four sections on general reference works, social sciences, humanities, and science and technology.
