Falk (emeritus, international law and practice, Princeton U.) and Krieger (founder and president, Nuclear Age Peace Foundation) set the stage for their dialogue on the Nuclear Age and the dangers of nuclear weapons in the first sentence of their introduction: "Nuclear weapons are not currently a subject of intense public discussion and debate, but they should be." This book is their exploration of the dangers of nuclear weapons and attempt to dig beneath the apparent "tranquility" related to their existence. While they both support an international treaty for the complete elimination of nuclear weapons, there are several issues on which they disagree--and those are made clear in their continuing dialogue.
