Chandler has edited in a variety of genres; is a member of the Editors Peer Group of the Television Academy of Arts and Sciences; and annually judges the Emmy and College TV awards. Her text guides student filmmakers, professionals, and interested general readers through the stages of postproduction, from starting the project and organizing for editing, through the editing process itself, and the finishing stages of sound, music, the mix, and delivering. The second edition incorporates experiences and advice from 15 editors interviewed by Chandler for the new edition; features updated information on editing digital media, Web content, reality shows, and 3-D; and contains new editing exercises and some 150 tables, charts, b&w photos, and illustrations.
