商品簡介
Toward a national strategy for improving the quality of care for people with this complex spectrum of disorders, this report presents the findings and recommendations of the Committee on the Public Health Dimensions of Epilepsy. England (health policy and management, Boston U. School of Public Health) notes that while epilepsy is common, it is not as well understood as some less prevalent neurological disorders. Drawing on models from treating other health conditions and input from the public, researchers and professionals, the committee emphasizes the need for coordinated services and data collection, improved patient education, and elimination of the stigma still attached to the disease. Workshop agendas, data-gathering efforts, a summary of relevant professional roles and organizations, and committee member biographies are appended.
