Don't Touch the Tomatoes

This is the story of Giovanni Aquila, Anna Battaglia, Simone Brocato, and Rose Centineo, Sicilians from Cefalu' who made a life in America in Baltimore City in the early 1900's. Through their faithful love for family and their fierce determination to work hard and to learn English, they became proud Americans. The men served in World War I and the women served their men. They survived the war and The Great Depression, always cooking for tons of relatives, matchmaking, and birthing babies. They made their own wine and danced to the strings of guitars and mandolins.
