Norman Maurer was a comic book writer and editor as well as a television writer, director, and producer. In 1953, Maurer created the first 3-D comics, Three-Dimension Comics featuring Mighty Mouse, with his brother, Leonard Maurer, and Joe Kubert. He wrote for several Hanna-Barbera television series including The New Scooby-Doo Movies, Speed Buggy, The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour, and The Richie Rich Show.
