商品簡介
This collection of chapter-length case studies compares the level, scope, and type political corruption in different countries and institutions. The cases consider everything from petty bribes to systemic looting of resources, arguing that "political corruption is about more than immorality and dishonesty. Corruption refers to a process that destroys or subverts honesty and integrity." The case studies are from around the world: the United States, Brazil, Russia, China, South Asia, Palestine/Israel; among NGOs in South Africa, Tajikistan and Argentina; and in the United Nations. They employ a corruption perception index. Almost all of the contributors are academics from Wright State University, either teaching political science or international studies, but some are independent scholars in corruption around the world.
