商品簡介
This work guides scholars and students through the latest research on relationships with parents and siblings, friends, romantic partners during the periods shortly before and during adolescence and during the transition to adulthood. Each chapter begins with a conceptual overview, then presents theory and recent empirical advances, and concludes with a look at future directions, a summary, and suggested readings. Some specific subjects examined include friendship among adolescents in Japan, placing romantic experiences in a broader societal and cultural context, and the development of same-sex intimate relationships during adolescence. A final section sheds light on developmental processes as a whole, looking at areas such as interpersonal and intrapersonal processes in the development of adolescent relationships and the role of gender in the development of these relationships.
