商品簡介
Marttila (sociology, U. of Bamberg) presents a theoretical and historical analysis of entrepreneurial culture. He focuses on Sweden between 1991 and 2004 for his historical analysis, dividing it among three of the last chapters, excluding his conclusion. The first five chapters explicate entrepreneurial culture deconstructively and semiotically, exploring the social-discursive construction of the entrepreneur. He devotes several intellectual underpinnings of what Michel Foucault called "governmentality" and discourse analysis to this end, but his writing presupposes familiarity with the social theorists and continental philosophers he brings to gear on the question of entrepreneurial culture. His later chapters on Sweden study the empirical record of entrepreneurial political discourse to explain its supplanting of the welfare-state.
