商品簡介
Neef (German Archaeological Institute), Rene T. J. Cappers, and Renee M. Bekker (both U. of Groningen, The Netherlands) present a third volume in the Digital Plant Atlas Project, the first two presenting photographs of modern plants, first in The Netherlands then in the world. Here are illustrated seeds, fruits, and other parts of plants with economic value that have been recorded from archaeological sites around the world. The 191 plant taxa documented represent 56 plant families. About 40% of the photographs depict subfossil remains, and the rest show modern counterparts. The arrangement is alphabetical by plant family. The species are indexed by scientific Latin name and by their name in all languages that have a name for them, including some unexpected ones such as Sanskrit and Malayalam.
