商品簡介
Derived largely from work sponsored by the Carnegie Council on Ethics and International Affairs, 11 essays that explore issues of morals and ethics in debates over "humanitarian" military interventions are presented by Lang (political science, Albright College). Beginning with discussion of the normative definitions of the term itself, the discussion moves towards examinations of recent UN actions and the use of force in Kosovo. Also discussed is the morality of the initial lack of response to Rwanda. A pair of contributions look at the topic from the religious perspectives of Catholicism and Islam.
