This guide to implementing a new RTI program at the school or district level views RTI as a journey, as a structure, and a belief system, rather than a packaged program of specific interventions. Written in easily accessible terms for teachers and administrators, the book provides examples, student vignettes, and classroom scenarios. Early chapters explain what RTI is, give a rationale for its use, review core principles of RTI, and describe RTI's three-tier model. Later chapters are devoted to universal screening, progress monitoring, the RTI team, and what happens in the three different tiers.
