Scott Slovic is Professor of Literature and Environment at the University of Nevada, Reno. The author and editor of such books as Seeking Awareness in American Nature Writing: Henry Thoreau, Annie Dillard, Edward Abbey, Wendell Berry, Barry Lopez and Getting Over the Color Green: Contemporary Environmental Literature of the Southwest, he served as the founding president of the Association for the Study of Literature and Environment. He has edited ISLE: Interdisciplinary Studies in Literature and Environment since 1995.
