商品簡介
Somewhat understandably, most feminist scholarship on women's political activism explores left-wing activities, but this unfortunately leaves a lacuna in our understanding of the political activities of right-wing women. Bachetta (women's studies and geography, U. of Kentucky) and Power (humanities, Illinois Institute of Technology) present 19 essays as a corrective to this problem. The papers apply frameworks of feminist analysis and other critical theories to studies of Italian, British, Greek, Brazilian, German, and Spanish fascist women; women involved with the American Ku Klux Klan; Islamist women in Turkey and Egypt; Afrikaner nationalist women; and supporters of the Indian "ethnically pure" ideology of Hindutva.
