商品簡介
Epstein (mathematics in radiology, U. of Pennsylvania) intends this book to be used for one- or two-semester courses at the advanced undergrad or beginning graduate level, for students seeking to use mathematical tools for modeling medical-imaging measurements, and to derive reconstruction algorithms used in imaging modalities. The author aims to make advanced topics more accessible to students of less formal mathematical backgrounds, though it is assumed the reader has an understanding of calculus, linear algebra and basic mathematical analysis. This second edition of a work originally published by Pearson Education, Inc. (2003) features new and updated content, including a chapter on magnetic resonance imaging, a revised section on the relationship between the continuum and discrete Fourier transforms, a new section on Grangreat's formula, and an improved description of the gridding method.
