商品簡介
With a broad definition of media that includes video games and music as well as television and movies, this collection of 13 essays is presented by Gentile (director of research, National Institute on Media and the Family) as an interdisciplinary overview of recent research into the role of media violence on development. Most of the papers are devoted to trying to draw the links between particular kinds of media violence and individual aggressive behavior, while a few veer off into discussions of public policy, effects on societies and communities, or the prevalence of fear in children.
