This study addresses the political participation of Protestant ministers in Hong Kong. Begins with a review of the literature of religion and political participation studies performed by local scholars in the English-speaking world, then presents the theoretical framework and research design of the present study, reviews political participation of the Protestant church and its ministers from a macroscopic perspective, identifies and categorizes the political acts of the ministers into five modes of political participation, and looks at why some ministers are active while others are not.
