A creature named Krindle has been biding his time until he can enlist the aid of Jake to defeat the Parix – an evil army of parasites that live in the caverns inside the mountain. Together, Jake and Krindle journey through this treacherous Virginia underworld, building an army as they go, set on defeating the Parix and freeing the enslaved creatures of the mountain's arcane spaces. When they reach the heart of the Parix stronghold they discover a species of parasites that enslave and destroy.
