商品簡介
Stenmark (theology, Uppsala U.) addresses ethical aspects of the idea that science sets the limits for possible knowledge of reality. The author distinguishes among various forms of scientism, and critically evaluates the claims made by, and motives of, their defenders vis a vis Darwinian and non-Darwinian debunking of religion. He reminds us that science can become one's religion. While most of this material appears here in print for the first time, minor portions were previously published in a 1997 Religious Studies article and a recent issue of Ars Disputandi: The Online Journal for Philosophy of Religion .
