商品簡介
Osswald (mechanical engineering, U. of Wisconsin-Madison) and Menges provide enough of a background in materials science that intermediate engineering students or practicing engineers with a good design background should be able to design polymer components. Among the topics are historical background, the rheology of polymer melts, anisotropy development during processing, electrical properties of polymers, and acoustic properties of polymers. The book is based on Menges' Werkstoffkunde Kunststoffe, published in 1989, itself developed from lecture notes of courses taught at the Technical University of Aachen, Germany and at Madison. The third edition is revised in light of comments from users, but not radically altered. Annotation c2013 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
