商品簡介
This survey analyzes the current practices and policies of websites to obtain user consent in Europe. It is based on a European research project about consumer sentiment regarding privacy on user generated content services in the digital economy and examines the way user behavior and business practices are changing the role of consent in the processing of personal data. The project surveyed 140 user generated content websites in Europe, along with 17 international service providers that offer services in multiple countries, such as Facebook and YouTube. It examined the purposes for which they collect, use, and disclose users' personal data; the consequences of refusal or withdrawal of consent on the user's ability to use the service; and current policies and technical features used for obtaining consent.
