商品簡介
The broad question is whether transplanted legal systems can productively take root in countries where they did not originate. Paquin (U. of Ottawa, Canada) offers a close analysis of business law in particular. Using Dakar as a case study, she investigates the roles of both culture and law in business contracts--the complexities, obstacles, and practicalities that wishful thinking does not eradicate.
