中國英語變體的功能研究（簡體書）

《中國英語變體的功能研究》運用社會語言學和功能語言學的理論和觀點，以語言使川者有意識或無意識選擇語言變異形式為切入點，提出和闡釋了中國英語變體功能的分析模式，以此探究了中國英語變體的標記功能和交際策略功能。作者的主要觀點是：變異研究必須重視語言社會功能的研究。中國英語變體作為一種語言變體，不僅僅是語言形式的變化，識別其本土化的社會文化意義，巧妙選擇和使用這種變體亦是一種重要的交際手段。這也為中國英語變體存在和發展提供了有利的依據。在國際化、全球化的時代，加強語言變異規律及其社會交際功能的研究是有必要的。

胡曉麗，生於1977年，遼寧大連人，北京師範大學英語語言文學博士。現任北京語言大學英語教師，碩士生導師。主要研究方向為社會語言學、英語變體、英語教學。目前在《外語與外語教學》、《中國外語》、《國外社會科學》、《遼寧師範大學學報（社科版）》等學術雜誌發表論文，其中核心期刊4篇。

3.2.1 A diagram of CVE development
Influenced by indigenous socio-cuhural and linguistic factors,the national varieties of non-native Englishes,similar to the development of pidgins and creoles,gradually,like water seeking its own level,discover their unique courses and ultimately develop into very complex systems.
As introduced above,the concept of continuum is adopted to investigate the development of non-native varieties of English,suggesting several stages along the developmental cline.According to specificity of the socio-historical situation in China,this study,based on the concept of a continuum,proposes the developmental cline of CVE.However,before doing that,some terms need to be clarified.
(1) Chinese Varieties of English.Chapter 1 listed the attributes that CVE has within the scope of the present study； that is,it exhibits transferred elements from Chinese language and culture； it displays distinct nativized features； and is used in a unique way to express the history,culture,traditions,and concepts peculiar to China； it also plays an important role in contemporary Chinese communication； and,finally,is understood and accepted by English users from other national communities.In order to make the development of CVE clear,this model will predominantly use the plural form of CVE,i.e."Chinese Varieties of English." It is an umbrella term covering Chinese Pidgin English (CPE) at the earliest stage,Chinglish at the primary English acquisition period,China English and other nativized forms.In other words,Chinese varieties of English in this model refer to the summative collection of English varieties used by people of Chinese linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
