商品簡介
Beard was one of the founders of the Boy Scouts of America and was also an illustrator, naturalist, and teacher of animal drawing. This is a facsimile reprint of the second edition (1930) of his 1920 book, with a brief new preface by the current Chief Scout Executive. The book features abundant information (and vigorous encouragement) concerning outdoor activities such as making fire by friction and percussion, preparing camp kitchens and camp food, packing horses, and participating in the ritual of the council fire. Beard's line drawings support the text. Annotation c2008 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
