Sobczyk--identified as a "German amateur" who has published on Psychidae since 2002--has undertaken compilation of nomenclature widely scattered in the literature. In the 1929 publication Lepidopterorum Catalogus 820 species were described. Eighty-plus years after the earlier work, this catalogue describes 1,324 species, and the author estimates at least 500 that are as yet undescribed. Each entry includes type locality, type specimens, and distribution; some include remarks about taxonomic position and previous classifications. The volume is distributed in the US by ISBS.
