Lynette Evans has written many books for children. Each topic or story takes her on a new adventure. When she was researching and writing Bee Life, she began to notice how busy the bees were as they visited the native flowers and flaxes growing in the green fields near her home by the sea in the north of New Zealand. She also began to notice that writing about bees made her hungry for honey on toast!

Francesca D’Ottavi has always loved drawing, and so to avoid making a mess of other things, she made it her profession. Used to historical subjects like warriors and adventurers, Francesca found diving into the tiny world of insects a lovely experience. Francesca has an eclectic portfolio and loves illustrating for children, both fiction and non-fiction. She lives in Rome with her partner and a cat.
