British exhibit designer Velarde calls on his four decades experience to advise others charged with putting together commercial or non-commercial exhibitions. He emphasizes the essential skills and practicalities of design and philosophy, and does not deal with style, fashion or taste. Without mentioning the date of the first edition, he explains that just about the time it came out, he shifted from steady employment to free-lance consulting and so has seen the profession from yet another perspective.
