Bulag (anthropology, Hunter College and Graduate Center of the City U. of New York) seamlessly incorporates his critique of current research on Inner Mongolia within an analysis of Mongolian identity and politics and utilizing comparative analysis with other "marginal" areas of China, especially Xinjiang and Tibet.
