Michelle Walton is the Head of Curatorial & Research at the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar, and curator of glass for the collection.
Featuring one of the world's finest collections of Islamic art, ranging from seventh-century Qur'ans to exquisite Safavid textiles, the Museum of Islamic Art is housed in an iconic building designed by I.M. Pei, architect of the Louvre Museum pyramid extension, and since its opening in 2008, has established itself as an outstanding contemporary expression of Islamic architectural tradition.
