Seven Seasons at Asyut

Members of the archaeological team present some of the aims and results of the long-term project in the necropolis at Asyut, on the Nile in central Egypt. Among the topics are the Nomarchs of Asyut during the First Intermediate Period and the Middle Kingdom, epigraphic work, wooden models from Asyut's First Intermediate Period tombs, an overview of Islamic pottery, and historic plant records from tombs of Gebel Asyut al-gharbi.
