商品簡介
A Question of Knowledge argues the case for the contribution of social scientific analyses from multiple perspectives. Many have theorised about the sociological study of knowledge, but their ideas have not always been tested empirically. The author's study of an emerging 'body of knowledge' is used in illustration, alongside a selection of recent international examples of empirical research on knowledge.
The central focus is on the major epistemological and methodological problems in the study of knowledge and how these may be tackled in research. The aim is to render this area of sociology more accessible to researchers, lecturers and students. To this end, key concepts and main issues in the sociology of knowledge are summarised in easily accessible ways.
