商品簡介
The third and final part of the publication of the literary, religious, and scholastic texts recovered in excavations by Leonard Woolley at Ur in 1922-34 is largely the work of Shaffer (Hebrew U. of Jerusalem), who died in 2004. It begins with tablet 415 and proceeds to the end of the 928 reported. The descriptions and translations are followed by sections on tablet dimensions, numbers and provenances, joined tablets, a few photographs, and line-drawn reproductions of the obverse and reverse for each tablet. The tablets were taken to London for analysis, and are projected to be returned to the Iraq Museum in Baghdad in due course. The book is distributed in the US by The David Brown Book Co.
