Current Issues in Spanish Syntax and Semantics

Approaching the problem from a broad generative perspective, 13 papers look at aspects of Hispanic syntax and semantics. The papers, presented by GutiTrrez-Rexach (Ohio State U.) and Silva-Villar (Mesa State College and U. of California in Los Angeles) emphasize a variety of approaches and explore research areas such as the structure of noun phrases/determiner phrases, the theory and description of clitic proforms, and the role of verbal properties and tense in sentence structure and interpretation.
